The frequency of services can vary depending on your needs. Generally they are an estimated 1-2 hours each, with a maximum of 8 sessions. Consideration can be given to extending sessions on a need by basis. In the event that I cannot provide services due to a Wait List, information and resources will be provided that may be of assistance immediately.

Yes, O&M often collaborates with various service providers to ensure support. This may include working alongside your rehabilitation therapist, physical therapist, family members, healthcare workers, etc. This interdisciplinary approach promotes greater independence and quality of life.

There are a variety of lightweight canes available.

There are ways to ID support canes / walkers so that others around you will know that you have a visual impairment.

I can meet you in any setting that you are wanting assistance with: parks, escalators, light rail, etc.

If you have any visual impairment, for your safety, it is important to have a cane for identification when crossing streets. A cane will help ID you to vehicles and also to help in grocery store lines and such.
